Unfortunately, unlocking a Sprint phone today is not as simple as "pushing a button".

I remember when At&t bought Alltel when I worked for At&t customer service. Users had a certain # of months to request unlocking and after that we couldn't help with that. There was a specialty team that assisted with these types of requests. When the time frame was over, there was no unlocking for those devices available through At&t.

There are online unlocking services that may be able to assist but they do charge a fee to do so.
    Just another day in paradise.....

yeah third party unlocks for this device are 119 USD... if they work at all.
They keep telling me the IMEI is not in their system and bouncing me from one dept to another, asking me to login using my account even though im not a customer.

even if I spoonfeed them an account by going through a friend they just become more confused and still cant find anything

What make/model phone are you trying to unlock? Can I assume that you contacted T-mobile for unlocking? Unfortunately, there might be nothing that can be done at this point. 3G or 4G phone? Never forget that Sprint is essentially non-existant now, only the name exists. Sprint's legacy billing systems are not compatible with T-Mobile's system.

there's an app right on the phone that let's you unlock it. but tmobile needs to enable it.
