    Just ordered an iPhone 14 pro - how am I going to get service?

    Unless Verizon prepaid supports eSIM I have to port out.

    A while back, i asked about transferring from physical sim to esim on my 12, they said i couldn’t at that time.

    The other day i was on chat to ask about moving service to the 14, they said as long as its a compatible phone, Verizon or unlocked there will be no problem.

    Also i believe it can be done from your account portal.

    We will see.

    I truly hope so. TheyÂ’ve kept that feature away from us for years. Did they know and were they working on it? I can only hope. Otherwise IÂ’ll have to port out. I donÂ’t see a single reason to go postpaid.

    I don’t know how to edit my message. I checked the portal and there is no sign of esim. Can’t even check the BYOD page.

    I’m guessing it would be under change your phone in the portal.

    I just checked Verizon's home page-they're offering the iPhone 14 Pro as available to purchase, so they must support eSim.

    under eSIM only devices the third choice (3) click on the "contact us" to get instructions
    on activating your eSIM only phone.

    Remember, post paid and prepaid are 2 different animals.

    No 14 ( yet ) on prepaid.

    Also, post paid activated esims , prepaid did not.

    That has been there for years. Then look at question 7 about prepaid. “We do not currently support esim for prepaid devices”

    Why would you use Verizon prepaid when there are so many better option on prepaid that use Verizon's network?

    I’m excited about the new iPhone 14 Pro MAx, I use dual carrier setup with AT&T post paid and Visible for Verizon’s coverage and unlimited hotspot, I read with the iPhone 14 US version you can have 2 esims active at once. I don’t know whether to go ahead and convert my physical sim to esim tonight or if I should just wait til iPhone activation. I read an apple article that said during setup you can convert physical sims to esim as long as the carrier supports esim.

    So, called into support, and transferred my number from my 12 to my new 14.

    Took about 5 minutes once i got on with them.

    Transfer was done on their end, no QR code was used.


    Tried on my portal, ( change device ) but that didn’t work.
