How much adding tablet/laptop and Apple Watch to Magenta/Max plan?

I just signed up for Magenta the other day. I was in a bit of a hurry so I forgot to ask these questions at the store.

If my needs change, can I quickly and easily upgrade to the Magenta Max online or over the phone?

How much is it to add cellular access to my iPad Pro or my laptop with 5G? I'm assuming it'll just use the "unlimited" data from my Magenta plan?

How much is it to add an Apple Watch to my account?

Apple recently announced international roaming for the Watch. Is TMO planning to support this and will there be extra costs?

Is there a way to get a discount on adding an Apple Watch or iPad Pro connection to my account?

    Thank you!

Apple watch: $5/mo for 500MB of data, capped... unlimited talk/text, $10 for unlimited talk/text/data (I have the $5 plan and have never ran out of data)

Tablet: $20 with autopay, if you need hotspot/HD video, it's an addtional $10/mo

And as far as plan upgrades, can easily be done in myT-Mobile, or in the T-Mobile app (or on the phone if you prefer)
    T-Mobile: Magenta Amplified

Is the laptop also the same price as the tablet? I'm assuming I can sign up for tablet plan and stick it in my 5G-enabled laptop?

As for the Watch plan, do you have a link to the $5 option? How do I add it to my Magenta plan? 500MB seems plenty of data for a watch. Now that OS 9 is out, is there any news on international roaming?

So, the fun thing with T-Mobile, is they do not offically support most laptops (other than chromebooks it seems).. and i've found that they generally do not know what they are in the system, so the SIM should work just like it's in a tablet, just you do not tell them it's going into a laptop as the system likely does not know what it is and will not "care" (proper MHS/laptop plans are kinda pricy)

So for the 5G laptop, just add a tablet line.. pop the SIM into the laptop and if it works fine.. you're good, as you will not get any "overages".. T-Mobile will just stop things from connecting if they do not like the device/plan combo.

To add the $5 watch plan, just go to the watch app, and under cellular it'll give the option of what plan you want when adding the watch (at least that's what it did for me). As far as international roaming, i know the $10 plan includes it (I've used it on an Android watch before going back to iPhone).. now as far as Apple Watch support, I think that comes in iOS 16.

I missed it as being an option for international roaming/calling. I saw the notice about emergency SOS calls international and thought that was the extent.
iPhone 12 Pro is my current phone I carry.

I definitely don't see the $5 plan in your link. I logged into my TMO account and only see the $10 plan. I guess it's irrelevant at this point to get the $5 plan since you seek to imply that only the $10 plan includes roaming. In terms of countries, I'm assuming the Watch will roam for free wherever my Magenta plan will allow since it's piggybacking off that plan? I was roaming in Singapore with Magenta and didn't incur any extra charges. However, the 256kbit/sec was just barely usable! Where have you roamed with your Watch? Seems odd that you can roam because Apple just announced support recently.

The $5 plan is technically only an “in-store” offering, and while I don’t have an Apple Watch, in other venues people are reporting that the $5 plan can be obtained right from the Apple Watch app on your phone. I don’t know if the $5 plan roams or not, but if roaming isn’t available your watch will (of course) revert to piggybacking off your phone’s data connection (which does have roaming).

For the iPad, you can also sign up for several different plans, but since you have Magenta voice lines, only 2 of the plans make any sense. There is a $10 plan that gives 2GB of high speed data (then throttled to unlimited 2G speeds), and there is an unlimited plan for $20 (all prices reflect the cost after the auto-pay discount). The reason the other plans make no sense for a Magenta customer is they cost $20 or more and have limited high speed data from 5GB to 50GB, where the Magenta data plan is unlimited high speed with 50GB deprioritization (which is not a hard throttle like the tiered plans).

It's definately there, it's listed toward the bottom of the page.. you just have to look

    Things like:

"What do I need to know about the $5 plan?", "Who is eligble for the $5 plan", "How do I get the $5 plan"

All under the "got questions" tab.

It's not a plan they overly advertise, but it's definately there on that page I linked.. just scroll down and READ

    The FAQ says:

Who is eligible for the $5 plan?

Magenta customers can use this plan to connect paired wearables, tablets, hotspots, SyncUp Pets and other trackers.

However, I don't have the Magenta plan and I'm still eligible for it. I have a Samsung Watch that is only connected via Bluetooth. But I just went to the app that's connected to it on my phone. It contacted T-Mobile and gave me an option for either the $5 500 MB plan or the $10 unlimited plan.

Perhaps Apple has a similar way of using the phone or the watch to request a service plan from T-Mobile.

Well, the OP is though.. My point though, is the plan info is available on the linked page.

I just picked the $5 plan when I activated it though the watch app though, so i'm not sure.

Before I tried to find the plan on my watch app, I tried logging into my account on a desktop. I actually couldn't even find how to add any watch plan at all. They wanted me to buy a watch, but I couldn't find a link to just bring a watch---such as one would bring a phone. Maybe because the Bring a Phone or Tablet works with buying a SIM only---there isn't an equivalent method for a watch.

Yeah, this is correct. You have to activate a watch line thru the watch app, you can't do it on your account page. As you said, if you try to add a line or person, and select smartwatch as the add a line, it doesn't have a byod option, and takes you straight to their store to buy one.

Once you activate a watch line you can manage or change the plan thru the account portals, but initial activation and plan selection has to be don't thru the app of whatever watch you use (galaxy wearables or the apple watch app).
