    Visible better than welcome unlimited

Did a side by side comparison of my welcome unlimited plan to the visible prepaid plan. The devices were both iPhone 12 Pro Max and visible 25 dollar plan had higher speeds than the welcome unlimited. Visible customers have a higher priority than the post paid welcome unlimited plan. I am sure this holds true for other MVNO providers. Will wait out my payments(5 left) and switch to visible.

Would be interested to know a little more detail about your comparison test. Did it take place in different locations? Different days - how long of a period did you test?

    Good luck with that.

I just finished a trial for Visible. At times, speeds were great, almost as good as my postpaid Verizon 5 gb plan. However, at least four times per day the Visible line had almost zero speed, couldn't even use my weather app. For example, day before yesterday at 6:20 am had download speed of .10 Mbps, unusable. Five minutes later had >50 Mbps. Ten minutes later was <5 Mbp. It mattered not what time of day, very inconsistent and unreliable.

Google "visible reviews" and you'll see lot's of others who had trouble even getting ported in. It's a gamble. Here's an example https://www.trustpilot.com/review/visible.com

On the new SIMs and plans or the old $25 plan? This shouldn't be as much of a problem with the new plans, particularly with the $45 plan. The the plans require a different SIM than the old.

The old plan is not available anymore, so I would assume that the 15 day trial period was for the new plans. How would I know what eSim they provisioned my phone with? I would think that they would put their best foot forward during a trial period.

After dealing with Visible for a few days, I wouldn't trust them to port my number over. Chat is a machine. I used all the tricks to get a live person on chat, with no success.

You can tell which network version you are on by looking at the APN. The legacy cloud core network APN is: VSBLINTERNET. The new network is something else.

I am a satisfied Visible user still on the old cloud core network - satisfied for the $25 it costs for unlimited everything. My data speed is almost always usable even when it occasionally gets down to ~2-3Mbps. Typical for me in my location is 10-30Mbps. Calls and texts have always worked, but I do very little of them to experience problems.

Doing a few speed tests doesn't prove much about Visible. The only consistent thing about Visible is their inconsistency. You have to try it to find out how well it works where you are and go. The new plans running on the regular Verizon network should be as good as any Verizon MVNO, but that remains to be seen. Right now a lot of problems are being reported.

They have been advertising heavily on TV and are probably getting a lot of new subscribers. Customer service (by chat only) has never been good and they are swamped now with long wait times and inadequately trained reps.

I'm holding off switching to the new network/plan until they get the kinks ironed out of the activation and operating issues. I'm not thrilled about the price being jacked by $5.

You can get the $30 plan for $25 by going through Paypal. https://www.visible.com/v/paypal

I don't know where to find my APN on an iPhone.

I know of lot's of RV'ers who use Visible as their internet. I'm not going to risk my phone number that I've had for over 20 years to an unstable support system.

I used Visible for several days, not just running a few speed tests. It was unreliable.

Regular visible has no priority, but visible+ is the same as do/play more on postpaid regarding priority, except visible+ gets unlimited hotspot- at 5/5 Mbps- didn't have a chance to see if the cap still applies while on UW.

I already have an old visible account on an old iPhone, I referred myself last month for a whole new account with visible+ ($25 for the new account, $5 for the old account). I really didn't see a difference when I had Business unlimited pro- same slow spots / fast spots. I thought about just keep making new accounts LOL. $30 / month for 2 accounts on Verizon- not bad. Better then $90+ for business I was paying.

Would also like to know whether your Visible plan is the more expensive Visible+ or standard lower cost Visible.

You can still get the $25 price if you sign up with for payments with Paypal. You lose 5G mmWave with the new $25 plan, but you gain a lot as well, including the same off-network roaming offered by Verizon postpaid. For $40 (with the Paypal discount) you get prioritized data plus 5G mmWave support, Canada and Mexico roaming, and some international calling and texting.

Verizon just announced that they're destroying Total Wireless with new, much higher cost plans, so Visible's base plan is about the only option for $100/4 lines Verizon network service that includes hotspot. US Mobile is much more expensive.

I tried the old Visible service and had no issues with data speeds in my area, but the latency was high. Now Visible has just become another Verizon prepaid brand. It's annoying that you have to sign up for each line separately though, there are no multi-line plans.

Visible has become popular among RVers because you get Verizon coverage with unlimited hotspot data. The new Visible+ plan, with off-network roaming, should make it even more popular.

No offense but it's not Verizon's goal to "destroy" Total Wireless. Tot's plan are basically a copy of Verizon proper admitting awful prepaid plans just cheaper especially for multiple lines. Between the 2 Visible is better but you can make a case for Total Wireless premium unlimited plan if you have 3 lines or more. But also US Mobile premium unlimited plan is better than Visible+ anyway

Service reality on the other hand is terrible on visible . Even worse than before I upgraded to "new network".

Is it possible to oversell a wireless plan ? I have never had good service on visible but now I can't even listen to music on pandora now without constant buffering. Did the switch a week ago after cs said it would improve my service and it's worse than ever.

As for the Visible Chat you need to go ahead and follow the instructions on the screen and check back every 10 minutes. You will eventually be entered into the queue and given a number but you light have to check back for an hour or so.

Once you are connected the reps are very helpful. Just use patience with the chat.
