    blocked call getting thru

i have a call question? i have the galaxy a21 phone and i have 3 contact in my family list and no one else. i get tons of calls and i block every one. well yesterday i got a call and i just went to block it and the phone tells me it is blocked. now how does that happen? i was under the impression that if you had a number on the blocked call list inside the phone itself that the phone would reject that number every time! so tell me do phone have a number limit and maybe i have reached that limit and now the calls are going to start again getting thru?

so tell me are cell phone like some home phones in that they have just so much room for blocking and then the older blocked number get pushed out of the phone and that number can then be allowed thru to ring the phone? if so how can i make this phone so it will only take calls from people in my family and or friends list and just plain reject every single number on this planet.

    thank.

Typically, most spam callers have phone systems that "spoof"/change the number displayed that they are calling from. Even having your phone registered on the Federal Do Not Call List won't stop the callers from an international source. There are no easy answers. Every time the phone companies try to make it foolproof, the spammers use a different fool.
    Just another day in paradise.....

ok so what your saying is even though i blocked that number, that number can still get thru the phone? it seems pointless to have a phone number block built into the phone and then that number can still get thru that blocking program built into the phone. i understand the scammers have tools to send out fake numbers as i have got my number on my home phone but my home phone has no way to block numbers calling me.

i'm tempted to get one of those spam apps and let that handle all the calls but that is why i was blocking the numbers as they showed up on my phone to avoid the apps.

anyway i guess i will put up with it then thanks

so let me ask this question based on the original question, how many phone numbers will the android phone block. my wife might get 1 or 2 calls a week from scammers and on my tracfone i got maybe 1 every few months but when i got this number from metro as a free number i must have got 50 calls a day for months but as i blocked them they started to get fewer and fewer. so now i wonder if i'm blocking so many that the first numbers are getting pushed out of the phone and are able to call me again?

if that is so how can i put my old tracfone number on my metro phone service. that tracfone number is about to go away as i stop that service and let all those minutes and texts just go away. so that number will be available for someone and that might as well be me.

so can i put my soon to be old tracfone number on my metro phone? and if i can how can i do it? do i have to go to the metro store and have them do it or can that be done on the metro website?

my tracfone account will expire in 2 weeks so that number will soon become available so i would like to get it put on this metro phone.

    thanks
