How tell if new TF is GSMA, GSMT or CDMA?

I want to purchase a new TF off either TF Ebay, HSN or QVC but not sure if there's an easy way to determine if the TF is GSMA, GSMT, or CDMA. Is there an easy way to tell which is which just by reading about the phone? Or will contacting the seller be necessary in all cases? I'm not even sure HSN & QVC could give me this info.

    TIA for any help.

Most new phones will be Verizon 4G LTE at least because Verizon bought Tracfone back on November 23, 2021.

So they are making activating T-Mobile or AT&T based SIMs/phones hard unless you do not have Verizon LTE. Then again there is people with issue then too.

You have till November 23, 2024 to get off of T-Mobile or AT&T towers with Tracfone. So if you need to have AT&T or T-Mobile, you will need to find a different provider.

Edit: If you are asking if a phone has what technology, the DL model phones will work with any tower carriers.

Plus GSMA, GSMT, and CDMA is completely out because all the towers are or have dropped 2G and 3G systems. So most tower carriers are 4G LTE and 5G NR based now.

If you can see the phone package in the ad, the color of the US map on the front of the box gives an indication: Red=Verizon, Blue=AT&T, Pink=T-mobile. Almost all new TF-branded phones come with TF/Verizon service since 2021.

If the seller claims the phone comes with a GSM SIM or is capable of using AT&T or T-Mobile SIMs... that is an indication the phone is an older model or unlocked, but it is not a guarantee that Verizon`s Tracfone will activate it with AT&T or T-Mobile service. At any time now Verizon could begin to flatly refuse to activate AT&T or T-Mobile SIMs. At some point in the next two years, AT&T and T-Mobile service will be terminated if you refuse to voluntarily switch to Verizon service.

OP, don't waste your time with any version of GSM or CDMA phone. The minimum technology should be 4G (VOLTE/LTE) or 5G when purchasing a new phone. Don't buy a phone that might have the older network shut down in less than 1 year, you will not be happy. Support of those devices is only on borrowed time and most carriers (post-paid, pre-paid/MVNO) will not activate them.
    Just another day in paradise.....

MNOs typically don't allow their MVMOs to advertise or in most cases even mention the name of the network they are using. The acronyms GSMA, GSMT and CDMA are widely accepted code-names for the AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon networks respectively. They do not indicate the use of the obsolete GSM or CDMA technologies.
