Quote from article: “Having acquired TracFone, I think Verizon is learning a lot about the prepaid market that they did not know before” and they’re letting TracFone do a lot of the management of the brands, which is a good thing, Moore said. “They purchased the asset, but they let TracFone do what they do.”

I'm sure that makes everyone feel good.

LOL rpz1, your "I'm sure that makes everyone feel good" cracked me up!

This Moore person has obviously never experienced Tracfone's "management" style!! Obviously doesn't know that letting "Tracfone do what they do" is a recipe for disaster!

But seriously, if Vzw was doing the TF brands managing, we'd probably have no more overly generous rewards program, and probably no more cheap phones, like we do now...

I'm sure if there were official VZW "systems troubleshooters" meant to straighten out a lot of the jaw-dropping inconsistencies and strangeness inherent to TF brands, they'd find a way to justify the need to monetize that as a value added price increase or something on that order.

Skepticism is highly earned from both of these outfits (TF as well as VZW).

Yeah Verizon wouldn't have a rewards program nor would they allow people to purchase add ons like data or minutes. Everything would be wrapped up in unlimited plans.

Glad Verizon is being hands off as they'd mess up what makes people use TracFone in the first place.
