Good cheap phones during Black Fri sales?

Need to replace my backup phone, samsung s7 (android 8.0 and no upgrade to 8.1).
i can no longer xfer data (pics) off the sd card via usb cable to my laptop. (tried with 2 different usb cables).

i'll change to the pics directory and it'll say empty directory.
then when i hit f5 for refresh, it'll show something but when i click on the pics, it'll say unknown file format even though it ends in .jpg.

when i pull the sd card from the phone and put it directly into my laptop, i can see all the pics fine on the 1st try.
it's just a pain to remove the case, and find a sim extraction tool to remove the sim tray.
then after i'm done and placed it back into the phone, i have to put back the phone case.

basically, removing and putting the phone case back on is the pain part.
it just started happening last week. nothing has changed that i know of.

Anyway, my main phone is an android 10 'Motorola one action'.
i guess if i buy a phone this year, that'll be my main phone and the One action will be my backup phone.

I just use my phone for phone calls, txt, whatsapp, and taking pics.
    ie: nothing fancy

Any good sub $75 phones for Black Fri so far?

How cheap is cheap to you? I just picked up a Moto G 5G off HSN on some Black Friday special.

    https://www.hsn.com/products/moto-g-...textd/20752022

Used coupon code HSN2022 to take $20 off of it too. Overall good phone and fast for the basics. Battery life is solid like most Motorolas I've had in the last few years.

If you don't want to use TracFone and the airtime it comes with, it can be unlocked after 60 days. And there's other phones on HSN that cost less too.

I think it's going to be difficult to find a decent factory unlocked phone for $75.

I've had several Moto G Powers in the past. They're all fine for the basics. Battery life is great. Video playback does get choppy, but if you're not going to play videos on a phone, then that's a good buy. You may want to check to be sure an unlocked TracFone will work on whichever carrier you want to use it on if you wait out the 60 days to unlock it.

The TF TCL Alcatel My Flip 2 with 1200/1200/1200/1 year was $20 a little over a month ago, and can be unlocked after 60 days. Maybe it will go back on sale for $20?

Any difference in unlocking policy between Straight Talk & Total? Or are the both the same 60 day for all TF brands?

This would make an excellent upgrade for my wife's aging 6S+ originally on Total Wireless, now Total by Verizon. (And free me from Christmas shopping for her .) Is there any reason why she coulnd't just take out the SIM card from the 6S+ and put it in this iPhone 11, transfer apps and start using it?
This fall be sure to get your pumpkin spice COVID-19 booster shot.

I think with Total you have to activate the new device on the line:

    https://www.totalbyverizon.com/activation

But that's not a big deal. The iphone to iphone transfer of data will be handled during the startup up the new Apple device. Very easy.

Here's an intriguing 4g phone on sale for black Friday. $152 is almost approaching throw away territory.

Reviewers say it will/may work with Verizon probably if sim swapped. Probably not on AT&T whitelist though. But should work with T-mobile. Seems to have most bands including 66/71. Dual sim with 8 gb of ram.
