Quick question. I have a Samsung A13 Tracfone which has Wi-Fi calling enabled. If I use my home wi-fi network to make calls using my TF phone number from my A13, will that count against my TF talk time balance?
Thanks!
Based on posts from forum members:
* TF/Verizon: deducts minutes for WiFi calls.
* TF/AT&T: does not deduct minutes for WiFi calls.
* TF/T-mo: deducts 2x the minutes for WiFi calls![]()
Thank you both for the reply. Alex from TF sent me this in a private message.
I wonder why he/she didn't just share this info on the thread?

We have read your post on this thread, and want to respond to your concern. No, it won't deduct minutes to your balance.

"Alex" (a random person assigned to monitor this forum) tends to be clueless and inaccurate.
OP, never forget that when "Alex" or any CS rep talks to you, it is the only time it doesn't count against you. Administrative text/calls do not use your allowances.
Just tested Verizon sim and 1 minute was deducted from balance for a 40 second wifi call. So much for Alex.I no longer have AT&T or T-Mobile sims so can't test them.
Yeah I tested TF/Verizon too.. made 3 - 5 second Wi-Fi calls and 3 minutes were deducted from my minutes bucket.
Has Alex ever given a correct answer?
TF/ATT appears to give free WiFi calling. I just tried it with two sims.
I don't think Tracfone Alex is a Bot. This is not a Verizon-owned forum where it might make sense to invest like that.
The responses are typical Tracfone CSR pretending to know stuff.
Also, they dare not post the responses publicly, because the BS could get them in trouble for posting wrong information.
It just seems like a part-time CS adventure.
It needs to get lost, because we end up having to clean up the mess.
Is the Bot programmed to give wrong answers so that it appears to be a TF human CSR?
