Boost $25 ATT network promo, for "unlimited" 30GB all can be hotspotted

    $12.50 first month

    $15/mo "forever" for additional lines

    https://www.bestphoneplans.net/plans...e-unlimited-25

    https://deals.boostmobile.com/myprom...lm-1mo-hp-mybm

I think after 30GB at high speed, falls back to 500kbps

please confirm, and what does the ATT mothership do, 128k ?

I ordered an ATT SIM with the $300 plan. Wish I had Target discount cards or they were coming soon.

I looked at that Boost plan. Is that the same plan as the unlimited $25/month plan that is listed on their Featured Plans?
Also, I don't see anything about $15/month for additional lines.

There are a lot of details missing from their web-pages, plus I wonder what kind of bait and switch Dish will do with Boost. I had them for TV service years ago, and I could see them switching networks/terms.

Sorry do you mean direct from the mothership?

I posted two links, with the text string used to identify the specific plan.

    $25 UNL w/Autopay 30GB of 5G/4G Data (TE)

    https://www.bestphoneplans.net/plans...e-unlimited-25

It only costs $12.50 to sign up and get SIMs sent out.

You are offered the $15 per additional line during the sign up / checkout process.

True for most providers. That is why you document their fine-print and promises, take screenshots, get the Real Story in discussion forums, etc.

For many of their promos they are promising the plan pricing "for life", including on the $15 add-on line offer.

Double the GBs, higher priority data speed, 4x the "after fast data" rate, and no contract only pay month-to-month.

At nearly half the cost per line given Boost's very low fees/taxes

Plus (as gravy only) the hypothetical promise of "one day roaming" on three high speed networks.

Yeah.. I ordered from ATT direct on their website. I might have gone with Boost if I could find the $15 add-on line offer. I went to the page where I put in my credit card and hit submit, but no offer for additional lines. Maybe it is after that, but I wasn't willing to gamble.

Just FFR I actually had only one $15 additional line in my order.

They had my billing address as the shipping address, so while correcting that, I asked the CSR to add the second line.

Pretty sure it can be done after the fact too, it was not flagged as a special promotion or anything.

Ok. So total clusterF. Got the sim from ATT. Supposed to be easy. Pop it in and the port is supposed to happen. Blah blah blah. No luck. Ended up on the phone and FB chat with them for over 4 hours.

At first the Sim in my s22+ unlocked was showing ATT 5g. But the line wasn't ported or activated. Then when I was on the phone with them, they ported the number. I got a txt from VZ that the number was ported.

I could see my account on ATT now and it said porting was complete.

But now, the sim card is showing disconnected. No service. They validated my iccid and IMEI. Tried a few things and determined that I need a new sim card. They said they couldn't do esim without sending me something either.

So now 4+ hours later. My number is ported. But no service. So I have to wait for a new sim which could take up to 3 days. Argh.

Is it too late to go back to VZ?

Yes that line is irretrievably closed.

Porting the number back would be fraught so quick wait for everything to be fixed with ATT before trying.

If you move on make it forward not backward.

Find out about your rights to a refund on $300 be prepared to file BBB / FCC complaints if you decide it's worth fighting.

    Sorry for your troubles

Phew!! Woke up this morning and it is all working. Good news because I got tracking for the replacement SIM and it isn't due until next week. You'd think VZ back and forth to ATT would be the easiest thing....ah well.

For PaulCrawhorne... I read on the Boost forum, that the $15 add a line is only for 1 month. then it goes to $25. Is that untrue? Just wondering for future reference if I decide to move more lines.

Sounds like not an issue at this point, but I see stacks and stacks of ATT Prepaid SIMs at my local Walmart and Target on a regular basis. And I'm in a fairly rural area. So if something ever happened to someone's ATT Prepaid service that actually required a replacement SIM to resolve, at least from my vantage point, they seem to be very readily available at retail, without having to wait for them to ship one out to you...

No the additional lines very clearly stated $15/mo FOREVER*

    *conditions

The first month only bit is just the first line, half off the $25, so $12.50 for the first month.

OK, just spent an hour in Chat.

They never heard of the $15/mo FOREVER pricing on additional lines.

They cannot explain why their system gave me $10 discounts either.

Fortunately I have the checkout screenshots of the offer as presented to me at checkout.

We'll see how the month 2 billing goes, I'll have complaints ready for the dozen usual suspects.

Meantime only follow my lead if you enjoy such battles
