Using a Motorola Razr v8 in 2023

Title says it all. I am wondering if it's possible to use these wonderful devices in the current year. What MVNO's would allow them to be used?

I don't think there's any practical way to use it on any US network today. If you try to officially activate it, it will fail, because it doesn't have VoLTE / HD Voice technology.

The only small possibility would be to swap in a T-Mobile SIM card, but even if that would work, there's so little of the 2G network remaining, I don't think it would work well.

Assuming it is unlocked, you can insert foreign SIM card and try to roam on T-Mobile 2G network. For most foreign SIM cards it, old 2G (or any non-VoLTE) phone still works.

I do not think there is any other usage for this phone (as a phone, not as MP3 player).
