    Moto G 5G 2022 on Verizon mvno

Has anyone that has a factory unlocked Moto G 5G 2022 (xt2213-3) on a Verizon mvno seen c-band (n77) in an area that has c-band ?
    If so, which ? Thx

I have a Motorola One Ace UW Xt2113-1 which I believe is supposed to get c-band.

I'm on Red pocket Verizon in NYC and I get NSA 5g(band 66), but no sign of c-band as of yet.

All I've seen on my Moto G 5G 2022 is NSA 66. My G has c-band (n77) like your ACE. So I went to a near by city that has solid c-band and still only get NSA. I then found that Verizon doesn't support c-band on some phones even if they're hardware capable. As far as Motos, as of May 2022 they only supported c-band on Motorola Edge+, and Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G. But that there are several phones approved for C-band by the FCC, or on Verizon's list of future C-band phones, that did not have C-band support then but will roll out with a mix of software updates and testing on both sides. My last Android 12 update is October 2022.

But I also read in the Verizon forum that even if a phone supports c-band you won't see it if your data demand doesn't require it, which doesn't seem to make much sense. So I have no way to know if my G (or your Ace) has yet to receive the c-band update or ever will.

Thus why I asked if anyone that has the Moto G 5G 2022 has ever seen c-band where it's known to exist, on Verizon.

    What mvno are you on?

I believe atleast with Verizon UW, the only way to get it is to be on a plan that supports it like post paid with some extra charge. The Verizon prepaid plan I was on did not have it even though my phone was uw capable and I was in a uw enabled city. So that tells me that maybe Verizon has some means of controlling what you get. Maybe that control extends to band 77 too.

How likely is red pocket to get anything additional from Verizon? Not holding my breath. But recently I have noticed that on my setup, I seem to have Verizon Wi-Fi calling, through no additional work on my part. So anything is possible.

US Mobile Warp 5G (Verizon). c-band is considered part of UW in addition to mmwave. US Mobile supports UW, but it's more a matter if Verizon allows the phone model to utilize it. Like a Verizon whitelist for c-band (UW) phones.

This might be a situation where Verizon gives c-band/uw access to everyone elsein the near/far future. However we'll be waiting for a while though....

    Is your Wi-Fi calling working?

Yes it set up ok and i had an indication it was working but haven't really tried it since it's not a must have.
It was set on "Prefer Carrier Network" and I had a good network signal but it still defaulted to wifi calling when I first setup the phone and was trying a regular network call. So I turned off wifi calling and haven't messed with it since.

How do you feel about the performance of this phone? Am thinking about maybe upgrading my users while it's still $199 on Amazon.

Key features are the 6 gig ram and Dimensity 700 cpu.

The main thing I need to get use to is the size coming from a Moto E6. It's only 1/2 in longer but is thicker and for me with small hands I really feel the difference. I keep telling myself I just need to get use to it.

Performance seems fine. Of course snappier then the E6 with the ram and cpu. I'm coming from OS 9 to OS 12 so getting use to some differences there. I find the screen is super sensitive and found no way to change the sensitivity. I guess I could put a screen protector on it may help. Also of course coming from the E6 and an E4 I still have I love the battery life of the G.

I generally only use a phone for talk/text with only occasional data so can't judge a whole lot on data use performance. I Also don't use a camera much so can't judge that. When I do it's just regular old picture taking.

I mentioned before that I thought even though it has N71 like your ACE, Verizon didn't support it but I was wrong.
What I was reading was it didn't support 5G SA (stand alone) on Verizon. But SA is just rolling out and n71 using NSA (non stand alone) where it shares the LTE core should work ok. But it goes back to what I said before where someone said you won't get n71 even if it's there if the network doesn't feel the need (I guess available capacity) doesn't demand it. At home I bounce between n66 and LTE. In the city which has n71 I'm always on n66. For my use LTE is even fine so not a show stopper what ever the technical reasons.
At my place I don't have a great signal anyway and never see much more then 8Mbps down which is plenty anyway.

I've always been a Moto person and with my E6 and E4 starting to get long in the tooth and having recently ditched my landline I figure getting a new phone was due and why not 5G even though it may be a tad premature. I saw the G dropped to $199 at BestBuy so bit the bullet. There's refurbs and open box on Ebay cheaper but what the hey.

I guess this doesn't answer your performance question since coming from the E6 is apples and oranges anyway. So if you have anything specific I may be able to try and answer?

Performance wise, the area I feel it the most on my Motorola Ace one 5g is lag in rendering some web Pages and launching some apps without killing a few of the ones in the background first. The 4 gig of ram is probably the bottleneck on my phone.

Just wondering if 6 gigs is enough or if 8-12 gigs is becoming the minimum now.

Lol.... I used to run on a Samsung Galaxy 1 with 384 mb ram total on a custom rom. Only when Facebook and Google play store started getting bloated did I have to retire that phone.

Can't really say considering my limited use of apps. Even 2 or 4gb (whatever the E6 or E4 has) was fine with me.
My only internet here is a Verizon Mifi Hotspot unless I wanted satellite. My signal here is fringe and Verizon doesn't have any capacity here. In the morning I can see 15Mbps max. Come prime time after 4pm it'll sometime go down to Kbp's. I'll be dead before they get c-band here without allot of new closer towers or new tech.
