Looking for dual sim phone with FM radio that will work on Tracfone

I'm looking for a new phone that is dual sim that will work on Tracfone with audio jack and FM radio. Does not have to be the latest and greatest. I'm not a heavy user. I want to be able to use a Verizon sim and an ATT sim. I've seen several Samsung phones on GSMArena that have the specs but I don't know if they will work on Tracfone. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Working on Tracfone is not an attribute of the phone specifically, just needs RF / whitelist compatibility with the underlying MNO network, and to be unlocked.

Although it is still possible to activate TMO & ATT on Tracfone, they are going to be VZW-only soon and are getting heavy-handed in their "persuading" customers to switch.

Dual SIM + VZW compatibility is pretty rare, basically only a few modern high end devices. And the second SIM is usually eSIM these days, which Tracfone (mostly?) does not support yet.

The FM hardware is retro, I doubt available with Dual SIM + VZW compatibility but I could be wrong. Same with the headphone port.

I would carry two phones personally

Do you want to use both SIMs with TF? Do you want them to be both physical SIMs?

Many current phones (iPhones, Samsung, Pixel) have dual SIMs, but one is physical SIM and one is eSIM. Currently, TF only supports TF/Verizon eSIMs on iPhone 12 and later, and has to be a new activation (unless they removed that restriction).

Yes I want to use both sims with Tracfone. I currently have an active ATT sim that I would use and then do a new activation with a Verizon sim. Iphones don't have an audio jack or FM radio.

The biggest road block for using both SIMs with Tracfone is that TF only supports eSIMs on iPhone12 and later. They don't yet support eSIMs on Android phones. That means you need a phone with dual physical SIMs.

If I were on a search like yours, I would use this PHONE FINDER function, put in your specs to find a list of possible candidates. Then eliminates the international, non-US models because they are likely not on Verizon whitelist to use with TF. Then look closely at the remaining candidates.

I have experience with this, and the only modern available phone is the Samsung Galaxy A13 4G LTE -- SM-A135U1/DS -- Dual SIM.

It does not have an FM radio, but a lot of radio stations have a web feed you can pull up.

I used it with two TF/AT&T sims. There is also a separate slot for a microSD card.

This is the only modern USA dual sim that I would consider. It is truly a miracle in today's market.

I think IslandBoy has one, not sure.

The 5G model is a different animal altogether, and not the correct thing.

I think the OP wants a phone with a built-in FM radio that doesn't require a data connection and I don't think he will find one in this modern day and age on any current handset, no matter the price. The demand just isn't there and streaming music players (Pandora for example) are the newer trend.

Kind of like wanting to fly to Europe from the US in a propeller driven airplane, might be possible but not likely to find such a commercial flight available.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Of the phones that I have owned, Motorola phones were the ones with built-in standalone FM radio, most also have a headphone jack, but I never had one with dual SIMs, even one physical SIM + one eSIM.

Same experience with me and more than one Samsung Galaxy phone in the past as well as other legacy phones from other manufacturers. Without a headset connection on current models, Samsung killed that.

When I worked for At&t CS, I used to upgrade my phone almost annually due to fantastic phone pricing to employees that probably doesn't exist the same way today.

The main problem with the usual dual sim is that it is frustrating.

It is not like just having two phones taped together.

The two sims have to share one radio or whatever. There is sim1 and sim2 and they are typically assigned different jobs. Even the sim slots are labelled which goes where (I learned this the hard way).

So one sim is primarily talk/text and the other is data. Unless you keep fiddling with the settings. Then you can't figure out why the calls are using the wrong sim, etc.

There are just too many settings and unintended happenings.

I am a good "engineer" and had a bad time getting talk/text/data to use the right sim without constant fiddling.

Had to triple check every time that things were going out correctly. Not always obvious.

It's just not a good substitute for two regular phones.

I eventually sold the phone. It was a pain.

This is the site that I looked at several times. I don't see where it says if a phone is an International model or not. I must be missing something.

GSMArena does not concern itself with the radio bands.

I think you have to go to PhoneMore for that.

Let's take the Samsung S22 as an example . Near the top of the specs, it lists the model numbers and the intended markets.

The OP could also use phonescoop.com.

Gsmarena does have info about radio bands. Again, using the Samsung S22 as example, on the NETWORK line click on Expand on the far right and it'll display the info below.
