Hey all you smart people I need some recommendations on a new phone. I current have a LG Reflect and I love it but the battery doesn't hold a charge for crap and we have some traveling coming up this year so I need to get a new phone. I always buy thru QVC or HSN. I see they no longer carry any newer LG phones, boo, I like that brand and hate to switch. But alas I have to. So what do you all recommend? I'd like a good camera and decent battery life.
Whats your budget.
Budget, I don't really have one, I could spend whatever honestly but maybe 200 or less? I just need functional not overly fancy.
LG got out of the cell phone business in 2022 (or 2021). Need to know your price range to make a good recommendation. Do you also need more units and service days?
No I don't need more units and service days but if I get them thru qvc that's a bonus. Oh and want to stick with the 3 buckets type plan
Would you have a storage problem with 64gb.
Something to consider.

Here are the Smartphones on TF web site . They have refurb LG Reflect for $69.99 which requires a time card purchase with it. As far as new phones, I'd avoid the Nokia phones (which aren't made by the old Nokia company) and Orbic (Verizon's own brand), Alcatel/TCL (low quality). The Samsungs typically have good/great cameras but have higher prices and bloatware. The Motos are like Toyotas, reliable but nothing exciting except the top of the line models.
The Moto G Stylus (2021) is a good buy for $100 (hi-res screen, 128GB internal memory, 4GB RAM), or refurbished for $50 with a required airtime purchase. TF refurbished phones are in great conditions, can't really tell from a new one.
Need to get out of the Past, and get into the future.
Why spend money on a 4g phone,
I would prefer the A23 as it has the mmwave band.

It's also important to get a read on how important a newer version of Android is to you. Android 12 is current and starting to slowly be replaced by 13 in the newer models. Typically, depending on the phone manufacturer and the time of the device's release (focused on the internal hardware), there'll be a limitation on expected or guaranteed OS updates.
A given model won't just get continuous updates like an Apple iPhone or Windows computer (again, this is due to hardware design). There'll be a specification on that aspect. If you get one of the quite nice Moto G Stylus 2021s or Moto G Power 2020 (on the TF eBay store), you'll be on Android 11 with no prospect of further updates. Just something else to consider.
It doesn't sound like you're too into whether you've got 5G cellular available on the device, and you needn't be. But that capability causes a step up in price, so another factor to consider.
Keep your eyes peeled on the HSN website, TF's website, and TF's eBay store (ebay.com/str/tracfonewireless). Since you're not emphasizing getting additional service time and bucket contents, consider also a Total by Verizon or Straight Talk phone on their respective websites (which can be used with the SIMs they come with on any other TF division), which can often be less expensive since there's no included units or service time.
Thanks for the thoughts whacker👍. I'd like the 13 OS.
5G phones are more future proof, given many 5G phones around $100, I'd get 5G phone if that's my only or primary phone.
