International calling charges from US to Greece

Hello,

A family member on my plan Military One plan is in Greece using a T-Mobile locked phone. I enrolled his phone, Area Code 917 (NYC) on T-Mobile's International unlimited calls and text plus 15gig of high-speed data add on plan ($50.00 for 30 days).

So, now he can call the US and not be charged for the call.

If I call his 917 (NYC) number from Florida while he is Greece, will I be charged for an international call or just have it count as a local no charge call as though he was in NYC?

As far as your carrier knows your calling a phone in NYC. So no charge.

Absolutely correct. I can confirm that for you, no matter where in the world his phone is, the carrier sees it is a local call with his phone as long as you are in the US. It is the same for you whether you call him or he calls you.

I travel to Greece every year for 1-2 months. We use the $50 plan. You will not be charged anything and he will not be charged anything either.
