It's been service unavailable for weeks now. I wonder if they broke something intentionally or otherwise?

Just now tried with a new phone that's due to be unlocked tomorrow:
"Sorry, this service is not responding at this time. Please try again later."

Okay. I was sort of thinking the issue was for refurb phones where TF hadn't cleared the history, but I see now that's wrong.
It worked for me a couple of weeks ago when my phone got unlocked. That said, I would get that message pretty frequently when I'd check randomly during the previous week. I'd just keep trying at different times of days/ days of week until it worked.

It was hit or miss in the past, but yeah, it doesn't work for me anymore. Thankfully - the actual unlocking process and eligibility is still fine so it doesn't bother me. Just unlocked an SE2 a couple days ago with no issues.

Unlocked my new Samsung this morning via the portal.

Iphone 11's successfully auto unlocked this morning and 2 days ago so no crazy bad problems ..
FWIW, I bought and activated an A03s bundle off HSN.com in January. TF sent me an unsolicited text when it was eligible to be unlocked a few days ago. The process worked perfectly on the unlock website.
I've had 4 iPhone 11s successfully auto-unlocked since last week - each 60 days after activation.
In each case auto-unlock occurred in the evening of the 60th day and not in the morning.
No issues on my end.
It's working now...
