    Question Voice Mail Box Full

After I get a voice mail and listen to it I get a notification that my voice mail box is full. But when I check my voice mail box is empty. This keeps happening. My phone is a TCL 4X. Any ideas how to clear this?

In your case, it's not the phone, it is a problem you need to discuss with your cellular provider. Your phone doesn't store your VM, it only shows when it reports you have a message. I wish I could tell you why you are experiencing this issue, but I can't. I suspect your provider is having an internal issue with the VM notice.
    Just another day in paradise.....

    It's just regular voice mail.

You might need the nuclear option. Text voicemail to 611611 and it will ask you if you want to reset your password. It might reset everything, so be prepared to lose your mailbox contents. It's worth a try, anyway.

After listening to a voice mail message, did you press 7 to delete it? If not, I think it'll go to the READ/HEARD folder. I don't know if those will be auto-deleted eventually; if not, it could fill up your voice mail box.

I think they auto-delete unless you do something. I think something of mine auto-deleted.

I know it isn't the same carrier, but if I didn't manually delete a message by pressing #7, it was sent to "saved mail" and not auto deleted. I think that the carrier will retain saved messages for maybe 2 months before purging it from the VM system. The workaround was to listen to saved messages but not delete them on a monthly basis.

Yeah, I didn't mean that they auto-delete immediately. It seemed to be 30-60 days, something like that. I didn't think to refresh the timer by listening to them periodically. But there's probably still a risk. I think VM is handled by a vendor. Maybe why it doesn't always work properly.

As long as you are aware. It seems like you understand fairly well. Best wishes to you.

It's not just you. I got that last week. There is something messed up with Verizon's VM system or its interaction with Tracfone.

At this point in life I don't care much about voicemails. I get a notification that someone called. If it might be important I call them when I feel like it. Anyone who complains, I ask them, "Did you try texting me?"

You could try calling the Tracfone corporate office. Maybe they could fix or reset the voicemail.

Best to call from a different phone.
