Trouble activating a new line on an existing TF account today

I was going to add some refurb Iphones to my existing account today online and once I get to the step of "activate purchased tracfone," I get the error message "We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later or call us at 1-800-867-7183."

Anyone else tried adding a line today (or recently)?

That error can pop up when the TF is having one of its "sick" moments, regardless of what you're trying to do. You can try again later, or try using a different browser. For me, when doing things online with TF, Chrome or Edge seem to work better than Firefox.

Thanks. I tried Chrome and Edge so far. I'll go ahead and try to wait it out and see if things start working later.

I'm waiting for delivery of two TF's today and want to activate ASAP. I plan to do it via chat CSR so if anything glitches I'm online with a human instead of a webform.

I have activated new phones that come with a years service using the web activation form, but I goofed once and had no service. CSR had to activate it. They usually add the phone to the account at that time.

Just an update, I just closed the error window, and took a chance and went ahead continuing with the steps to add the line and everything works fine. Odd.

I skipped the CSR and used the website activation yesterday and it was my luck it worked fine. Two bundle phones with a years service and they activated fast, added to my account.

I've had days where the account login experience was less than great, glitches, and wouldn't risk an activation. There's a thread around the forum about the TF website being down. Definitely it's not always working.

I use my cell browser for online, not a computer, and occasionally switch to the "desktop version," it occasionally works better than the mobile experience.
