If I remove my SIM card do I have to change the device number for GV?

I'm going to be overseas and I'll purchase a local SIM card for my iPhone to use for normal calls. But I still want to use GV when connected to wifi and make wifi calls. Currently my actual cell number is connected to my GV number and that's the number I use for carrier calls.



Do I need to do anything to the GV settings when I remove my US SIM card? When I return to the US I will replace it and resume making carrier only calls.

No. All you need to do is set the app to "Prefer Wi-Fi and mobile data".
