I'm considering porting into Visible+ from Verizon postpaid, would like some comments please.
First, I don't use much data on my phone, less than 1 gb month. I'm on the Verizon 5 gb for $55 now, paying an extra $5 month for 1 tb extra data (which I never use). Every now and then, I'll use my iPhone 13 as hotspot for a couple of gb. After taxes and fees, my postpaid bill is about $70 month.
Second, I went through the processes yesterday of activating an eSim with Visible+, stopped before I completed it. It did not give me opportunity to port in. So, I did a chat, very little wait time for the chat. The agent said that once I complete the activation, then I could go and port in my number. That doesn't make sense. Is that correct? So, I can activate the eSim, use the phone a month or so to see if I like Visible, then port my number into that line?
Third, Visible is offering the Visible+ $45 plan for $35 month. This offering supposedly ends at the end of May. Does the price of $35 continue after the first month or so, or does the price revert back to $45?
Fourth, any comments about Visible+ service at this time? I've read most of the Visible threads here on HoFo. It seems that some say voice and texts are bad about going to voicemail or being delayed. Is that still the case. I'm not so worried about data as I am having a dependable source for calls and texts.
Fifth, I see that adding my Apple watch is just $5 month? Is anyone using that and how well does it work. Verizon postpaid gets $10 + taxes and fees for a watch.
Lastly, please any updated comments on Visible+ service and suggestions of how to go about the switch.
Thanks much.

Good question. I looked at Twigby. I would want the 4 gb plan, since i sometimes hotspot. It is $20 plus taxes and fees, which would come to at least $25. Isn't that about the same as the basic Visible plan? I'm considering the Visble+ so as to have room to grow or if my needs change.
Is Twigby on Verizon? What type of support does Twigby use, phone, chat, etc.
Thanks for your comments.
I would also look at US Mobile.
On The Verizon network.
Come on guys. I appreciate your position. I know there are other MVNO's to consider.
I came to the Visible forum because I have questions about Visible service. Based on answers I receive here, I may decide to look at other services. When/if I do, I will go to those forums and ask questions there.

I'd get Visible basic if I was you. You don't need faster data.
If you want $20 off your 1st month PM me & I'll send you a code.
Suggestion just throw $5 at Visible for a month & see if it works for you. Don't take anyone's word in place of your experience.
Visible by Verizon get $20 OFF! https://www.visible.com/get/36csHv Choose Bring my number or Shop phones. Use my friend code 36csHv during checkout for a $20 discount on the 1st Month.
I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.
I've been on Visible+ for two months now. After being on Verizon Prepaid for several years. And before that on Verizon Postpaid. My experience with all three have been identical. Only now, with Visible+, I have access to 5G UWB. And also priority data. Unlimited on 5G UWB and 50GB on 4G and 5G. I currently use an unlocked Galaxy S23 Plus. And I always used Galaxy S series phones when I was on Verizon Prepaid. And for several years on Verizon Postpaid.
My texts still get sent and received basically instantly. Call quality is still superb. I hit 200Mb/s on 4G LTE and 500Mb/s on C-band and over 1.3Gbps on millimeter wave. In the DC area I still get excellent coverage. Just like I did on Verizon Prepaid and Postpaid. For the $35 a month, it is an excellent deal.
The $35 a month is supposed to be active unless you change you plan. Or until Visible decides to changes things. In which case they are supposed to give notice. So, realistically that could be many months, or many years until they stop the $10 off monthly promotion.
I'm not going to worry about when the promotion ends. Whenever it does then I'll make a decision at that time. SInce things will also be different with other carriers in the future as well.,
Thanks for the new responses.
What about porting? Any problems there? What is the process? I can't afford to lose this number I've had for 25 years.
Anyone using an Apple Watch on Visible?
Porting: I don't think you'll have trouble porting out of VZW postpaid to Visible (owned by VZW). I'd chat with both brands about the procedure.
Is that $5 off for signing up through PayPal still running? If so, is it stackable with the $35 promotion, making Visible+ just $30 every month? Also, would the one-time $20 off referral code still work with both of the others?
$20 Referral Code will work. PM me if you need one.
Actually, I now see on Visible's website a page about the Paypal discount, and another about the $10 off Visible+, but I don't know if or how they might be combined (probably can't).
I'm on Visible+ and quite happy.
I was on the old Visible with party plan for about two years and it was pretty good. When the new plans were announced and my Moto G Power 2020 was listed as not compatible, I decided to leave and move to US Mobile.
I now have a new but cheap Samsung A13 5G which is compatible with Visible and I'm back on Visible+ at $35.
You can certainly get the impression that Visible has lots of problems if you read https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/ but of course happy users don't normally post so it's hard to say if it's as bad as some people make it out to be. There's no denying that a lot of people do have problems so ... only you can decide whether to take a gamble or not.
My experience porting in from US Mobile a couple of months ago had a bit of a glitch. I'm using a physical SIM so I can't talk about eSIM but I signed up and indicated that I wanted to port the number during the checkout process. The SIM shipped but a few hours later I received an email saying something like "oops ... the port didn't work, please contact support". I contacted them and my case was escalated. A few days later I received and email basically saying that it's all canceled and I should start again. I thought that meant to use the same SIM but no, I had to start all over again. This time I did not ask to port the number. A new SIM was shipped.
The new SIM arrived, I activated it with a new number no problem. The next day I contacted support via chat and got them to port the number. To my relief, that went smoothly.
I suggest you do the same. Don't port the number when you sign up. Wait until the phone is activated and working with a temporary number and then contact support to do the port manually. I guess it doesn't apply to eSIM but I'm still unclear what happens if the port succeeds but you don't have the SIM yet. You need to sign for a physical SIM when FedEx arrives which is a hassle for some people.
The person I got on chat to do the port seemed very good and competent so maybe the support quality has improved.
I needed to contact support again to setup voicemail. Somewhat to my surprise, the chatbot was able to do that without human intervention. It sent me a one time password which I entered in chat and that got the VM setup. All quite smooth.
Both times I've contacted chat I've started off at about number 50 in the queue but haven't waited more than about 10 minutes.
Voice calls, SMS, MMS, voicemail, Wi-Fi calling and hotspot all work well.
General performance seems okay but of course it's location and time dependent. I live in a Verizon dead spot so I mostly use Wi-Fi calling. Out and about it seems okay. Sometimes it's slow even when it has a good signal which of course sounds like deprioritization but I've never been close to exceeding 50 GB so it's probably just Verizon congested around here. I've had someone with me with Verizon postpaid on a new iPhone and not do any better.
Last weekend I was in an area that I assume had 5G (UW?) because I was getting about 300 Mbps.
I came back to Visible mostly for the unlimited hotspot / tethering which I can use as a backup in my RV and the price is pretty good too. I'm getting more for $35 than I was getting for very nearly $50 on US Mobile.
