    Sim size-handset with standard size?

I have an older flip phone -on T-Mobile An emerg phone. It takes a standard size sim. Does anyone know any currently sold phones that use a standard size sim. 4g. Can be flip, slider, bar, etc.
I am aware I can get sim changed but if I can just pop it in new phone easier.

    Thanks-Tim

Get a 3in1 replacement SIM. Then use it in whatever phone you want.
Visible (by Verizon) receive $20 off the first month. Please use referral code: 36csHv - https://www.visible.com/get/?36csHv

I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.

    My plans:
    Visible (Verizon) UTTD $25/mo
    T-Mobile Gold Rewards $10yr exp 12.25.23
    FreedomPop (AT&T) Target $4.99 once 100 TTD a month each 29th

by 'standard' i assume you mean 'mini' which is the largest if the triple-SIM(nano, micro and mini) sizes and not the original credit size SIM's from the early 90's

if you do not want to get a replacement triple-SIM that can be easily popped out and snapped back together into different size you can use a cutter on your mini, keep in mind there is a slight chance it could be damaged during the cutting and need to be replaced anyways.

yes, that's why I was surprised it worked, they did not even look perfect and needed a nail file to trim down on the edges.

But like I said, standard sim from 2007 was cut down sometime in 2012 and still works in multiple Androids and Iphones I've put them in as recent as 2022 models but no data. Currently in an Iphone 7 and prior to that a Moto E 2020. Tested in an Iphone XsMax too.

I think it is fair to assume that phones using full sized SIM cards are dinosaurs and not likely to be found on any current phone/device. Even if you found an older phone that supported such a SIM card, it will likely use 2G or 3G technology and no US carriers are activating them any longer.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Wow! That's big. I never had a phone with a standard size SIM, but that's probably I used Vzw when no SIM card was required, all the way up until they switched to LTE.

The first SIM card on the scene, the Standard SIM dates all the way back to 1996.
As well as being the oldest of the bunch, it’s also the largest, coming in at 15 x 25mm.
Despite its name, Standard SIMs are quite rare these days – most smartphones no longer use this size of SIM.

that article is actual not totally accurate

full size SIMs came out in 1991 and were the size of a credit card

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM_ca...20be%20removed.

i had a motorola and a Nokia in the early 90's living in Germany that used the original format. the cards were easily removable from the bottom of the devices, it was thought at the time not everyone would have there own cell phone and the cards would be used in 'public' shared cellular phones installed on trains, buses, etc.

the smaller formats very quickly took over in the late 90's

there may not of been any phones sold in the states that used them since it was all TDMA, CDMA or AMPS here none of which used SIM cards. GSM networks came along later here.

The $10 guillotine tool needed replacing every so often, never bothered trying to sharpen it
