I was looking at this as my wife's plan renews in a few weeks.
I notice that, after clicking on view details pay for her line, and then click manage payment options, then pay my bill, it gives the $170 price. Although it does say it's the 5GB plan. When she started it was a 3 gb plan, and that's what she has been getting despite it now being labelled 5GB. In her case it doesn't matter as she doesn't usually use much data anyway.
On the eBay listing for this it states that the TMO and Verizon ((what they call gsmt and CDMA) are still 3 gb. I don't see that distinction on the website.
And then, if Click on the plans tab instead of going through the manage payment options button, and click buy now in the 5gb plan, it doesn't give the 170 price. I believe they are trying to encourage auto renew with the slight discount on the other tab.
So I see where you might get the 170 price but I am uncertain about the 3gb vs 5gb unless it has to do with the network that line is on.
