T-Mobile won thousands of additional 2.5GHz spectrum licenses around the US in an FCC auction that ended roughly one year ago. But based on new commentary from the FCC, there's no telling when the company will actually be able to put those licenses into action.

Great article. That's too bad about all of the 2.5GHz licenses are being held up due to the military.

I'm not really sure why the FCC had an auction that they couldn't complete before their authorization expired. Maybe they thought it would get automatically renewed.

Ironically ... this has been the case for ... SMR licenses, EBS licenses, 600MHz licenses
