    5g+ Access on Pre-paid?

Does anyone know if pre-paid has access to 5g+? I was in an area that was recently added to the map, but only saw regular 5g. (Gainesville-Haymarket VA)

Yes, I’m on the grandfathered $300 12-month plan, and my iPhone shows 5G+ occasionally.

Yes. You need to have a new phone that supports most of the newer 5G+ bands. I got a pre owned S22 Ultra a few months ago and get 5G+ with it connected to band n77. But I had tried a Note 20 Ultra and it only got 5G since it connected to only band n5 as it's not as fast.

Thanks, I have an A52 5G which has n77. I did see 5G+ pop on for a few seconds today when I was in downtown DC, so maybe it'll be coming online shortly

Yeah, especially if the device supports the DoD n77 (Andromeda). The full power of n77 (beyond Andromeda) is still being rolled out but ramped up since the FAA gave the go-ahead recently.

I see it regularly on my iPhone 14, not that I can tell the difference.

When connected to band n5 I usually see speeds in the 50-80Mbps and peak around 100. On n77 I usually see 200-400 and peak around 500Mbps.

I've seen it in Oklahoma. In one area, it showed up on the maps and didn't show up on my phone until later

The question is about 5G+ not just regular 5G

The early 5g adopters got screwed with the marketing , those years should have been marketed as “5g low band anchored on LTE”

Yep AT&T Prepaid does! Though you need a 5G Capable phone from the AT&T Whitelist, A new 5G Branded sim card(SKU 4488A and older is confirmed NOT 5G+ Capable), and an area with 5G+ Deployed.

If you have a Straight Talk AT&T sim, that sim is based off of a Sim that's older than SKU 4488A and will not get 5G+ anywhere.
    Home Entertainment: T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, Roku Streambar(Sound Bar/Roku all in 1).

    Landline: N/A

Mobile Entertainment: AT&T Unlimited Starter for primary device, AT&T Starter Family line for secondary.

Is there any way to tell via sim # if a sim is 5G and/or 5G+ capable?
