I get iMessages on my iPad mini but not on my phone

I have both an iPad mini and an iphone SE 2nd generation with the same Apple ID. From certain iPhone users I receive an iMessages on my iPad mini but not on my phone. Why? Maybe it matters that my iPad does not have a SIM card and unique phone number and my phone does. I receive normal SMS on my phone from other iPhone users and everybody else.

Sounds like you dont have iMessage enabled on your phone.

Go to settings, then to messages, then to send and receive and where it says you can receive iMessages from make sure you are logged into the same accounts on both devices. Make sure there was a checkmark near iCloud and any other accounts on both devices. Make sure they are synced.

Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive

Make sure you are signed into the same accounts on the phone and the iPad.

If this is the same issue I had once— this should fix the problem.
