Did you swap the SIM on that phone? If yes, which SIM (carrier)?

I wish TF would be more consistent with their action, either auto-pair the SIM to the new phone or disallow SIM-swapping all together.

I’m guessing since Verizon took over rules have changed.

Never had problems sim swapping to new phones on Verizon Prepaid.

So, with this warning, what does the account show? Is the phone paired to the new phone, since the message said "If this was you, no problem" or it's still paired to the old phone. Did you put the SIM back into the old phone? Does any phone work?

Have no idea what you’re talking about.

Here's the deal, there's only one phone, two sims, the original sim in the phone expired, the other sim has time left on it, it is now in the phone and working, it shows the other sim as OLD, I’m sure you’ve seen that before,

On your account, does it show the IMEI of the old phone or the other phone?

I do not know if you can see the IMEI from your account like you can on Straight Talk.

Sorry, I was thinking you had two phones: Old and New, and you took the still active SIM from Old phone and put it into New phone (instead of doing a service transfer from Old phone to New Phone). When some forums members did that a few years ago, one got service shut off, had to contact TF, listened to a speech from the rep before he would turn service back on, one got a warning message saying to put the SIM back into its previous phone or service would be cut off.

The IMEI from the active phone has not changed.

The IMEI that was attached to the other sim,
(sim that is in active phone) now shows,

    Inactive, Old Default.

Also, there was a pop up,” refreshing the sim “

    No more pictures of devices.

I love the Alex bot thinking I am the one doing this because I got this message privately.

As to kaZZoo, OK on that info. So not sure then.

    @kaZZoo

FYI, today I did a legitimate transfer from a TF-branded Samsung A03s to a TF-branded My Flip 2. About 30 minutes later, I got the same Security Alert that you posted in post #1. Apparently, TF now does that whenever service is transferred from one phone to another, and has nothing to do with SIM swapping.

At the end of the day, this is the second sim swap that auto updated the device on the account.
No loss of service, no scary notifications.
