best phones for metro pcs

i have a free phone number thru the wifes metro pcs number. and i have the samsung a51 phone that just developed some type of usb to the pc connection issue. it charges but will not show anything else. i did a reset thru the samsung account page and that failed to get the port to work. so i'm leaning on the phone port went bad.

anyway the wife seems to think she can go to the metro store and just get an free phone. she has the metro phone my phone came from tracfone. if that is true then i will get what they give my in a 128gb internal storage and get use to it. it looks like they lean on moto phones.

but if i have to get my own and put the metro sim into it what might i start looking for? it has to allow me to connect it to the pc and click on the name of the phone then internal then dcim and then camera and then SHOW the photos as photos.

i have a nokia and that phone will not SHOW photos it shows icons and i just can't get it to show photos.

i have had lots of posts on phone sites here and toms guide and win10 and not one person has a fix. and yes that phone has been reset a few times.

i would re-install the Samsung USB drivers on your computer and also possibly try on a different computer(to test not neccassarily transfer anything)

my experience is 90% any USB connection issue to a phone is on the computer side not the phone side. Windows is the far more complex with more things that can break than Android.

your issue with the way the photos on the Nokia display also sounds like you computer and not the phone

well it failed the same time on a win11 pc nd this win10 pc i did uninstall all the usb drivers i guess i did not know i had samsung drivers. where i get them? i can't log onto the samsung site because it seems they never came up an told me i had to make sure my phone number was correct for the 2 factor process. so i can't get drivers from them, i would think win10 would get them for me.

they both went thru an update about the same time and i did do a recover back to last week ago this pc and that failed. i have tried 4 or 5 different cords and even the oem that fails. before i did the reset i found on the phone some diagnostics and i ran the usb one and it failed

one other thing i may try if anyone happens to know if can i change out the usb board on the a51 it is possible that board failed. it still charges but it charges a lot slower now that it di before. if the usb board can be the reason it will not connect to the pc then that is what i will do. it is a lot cheaper than getting a new phone.

ok i did go to samsung and down loaded drivers for the usb and that failed. i'm leaning on the usb port board has failed. and i may get another one and change it out to see.


for the noia it seems to be a nokia issue i found the nokia x100 forums and they all have the issue. that is a poor excuse for a phone
