Transferring Service to new phone - best way to do this?

My son has a pixel 5a, but wants to upgrade to an s22.

In the past, I have bought the TF BYOP kits from ebay, and then activated the new phone with a transfer of service and phone number from the old phone, and got it all combined with that extra year of service from the BYOP kit.

Now I don't see those TF BYOP kits on ebay anymore. Has TF stopped selling these?

If so, what's the best way to accomplish this? Ideally, we'd add a year of service and some minutes, data, texts also.

So with that, I am assuming I can do it the traditional route, activating the new phone with that BYOP sim kit via chat, while also transferring his phone number and current service, correct?
