    Google Play Not Updating Apps on S10e

    My wife and I both have Samsung S10e phones on the Tracfone network. The network they actually use is Verizon. Four or five days ago Google Play stopped updating the apps on both phones.

    Now when we try to update apps they just say Pending. A small amount of data will download for one app but then it just stops and eventually fails after trying to download for an extended period of time.

    Anybody have any idea what is going on? Are there any solutions to fix this?

    Just curious, what version of Android are those phones using. Personally, I use a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with the latest Android OS.

    It is possible that your version of Android is preventing you from upgrading those applications. Developers ususally only update their applications for a certain time frame on current versions of the Android OS. What applications are not updating? Try reaching out to the application developer to find out if there is a workaround that they can offer.

    The phones are running Android 12. It is every app. I have a half dozen apps on my phone that will not update and my wife has ten. No apps have successfully updated in the past four days. My wife also has a tablet that stopped updating as well.

    This happens on WiFi and cellular data?

    Neither my wife nor I made any changes. Today all our apps are updating normally. We have no idea what happened. Thanks to the forum for all the suggestions.

    I am glad to hear that the updates are coming through now. Hard to say for certain what caused it. Sometimes, a simple power cycle (off and back on) of the phone/device resolves those types of issues for future reference.

    We both tried rebooting the phones and I also rebooted the router multiple times. None of that helped.
