    Pixel 8 Pro on Tracfone

I am trying to activate it, but it says both IMEI's are eSIM numbers.
The phone does accept a physical SIM card.

Does anyone have one on Tracfone?

Sounds like TF’s BYOF’s database is all screwed up on newer phones.
    Problem’s with the S24 also.

You activating with a new phone number or keeping a number.

It's the unlocked version, not Verizon. I don't know if that would cause a problem.

The problem is the IMEIs not being entered properly in the pSIM side of the whitelist.

The Verizon-specific model would be less likely affected

I checked both IMEI's with Verizon's checker. They both came back as physical SIMs.
I then checked with US Mobile and they said the first one was valid physical SIM and second one was invalid.
And Tracfone identifies them as both eSIMs.

    Three different answers.

I'm going to port to US Mobile.

Did it have anything to do with your comment about porting to US Mobile?
If Alex is in anyway human and represents the lack of competence of TF it's all par for the course. I wonder if anyone at Verizon knows how TF management is running TF into the ground or really cares.

I was thinking the same when I wrote that. Guess Verizon just bought them to eliminate what I'd think was their main mvno competition. Cost of doing business write off.

Do people on the other TF brands have theses issues?

That, and a certain percentage might get moved to Visible or even the mothership one day.

Reddit and the Straight Talk Facebook group are both full of complaints from Straight Talk customers that their lines get deactivated every couple of days.
