    I don't think so
just go to T-mobile official store, and take a look on phone's "invoice price"
you will find no phone can go more than 499, except blkberry and pdas (HP 6310 is 599)
then you may find out why I answer that
take a look the price of V3 without activation

just go down to Cingular store when it's released
    check "no committment" price
if you're happy with it, just buy it
the phone sells at Cingular store is UNLOCKED (tested, and the sales tell me)
but GPRS and T-Zones setting are another story.....
    I want V551 from Cingular.....

V3 does look pretty slick, but also, it's gonna cost an arm and a leg, fitting "all" of those features into a [email protected]$$ thing is not without drawback(s), i.e. steep price. Now if they could do what they did with the V series...that is introduce a bunch of different priced phones. 'Member, moto's got like V180, 220, 300, 400, 525, 600, 710 (getting into unfamiliar territory (non-GSM) so correct me if i'm wrong) and i think 725 or 8xx. I'm not counting the v80 since i don't think the body style is anywhere close to that of the others.

    Gotta love it
