HOT NEWS - Create skin directory is possibble

    Thanks to hungarian guy

    http://www.geocities.com/s5vi/Skindi...y_Netuddki.zip

He find a way to create a mini no-clear flex file, which contains only the one directory.
Flex this file to your phone.

    please help

    hi again
well i have 12 skins in my PHONE but not in my p2kman
i have tried with the old p2kman to add the new folders but it failed, it only appears a/mobile/skins and in it, the classical three: moto, neon and techno.
Gulfu, how do you do to see the new skins in the p2kman???
    Thank you!!!

hey i have explained it above

    use old p2k

at the bottom u can see 'uploading path'

write like this on the space given

    /a/mobile/skins/Black/

then press the 'pc to phone' button
locate the skin file that u want to upload
**must be of same name as the dir**
    so locate Black.dat
    then enter
like that all the black skin files

    this is for black skin

u have to repeate this for other skins

    like /a/mobile/skins/Xmas/
    /a/mobile/skins/XPBlue/

    like that
after that we can see the folders with new p2k man

    sorry for my english

Is there any chance of this working in a modified V500?

    Creating Directories Using P2KTools

Follow these directions for creating an additional skin directory (XPBlue) for the Windows XP Mobile v4.0 Blue Scheme) via P2KTools v0.6.3.0:

    1. Download the flex file zip required to make additional directories:

    Netuddki_flex.zip

    2. Extract all *.hs files to some directory.

    3. Open Motorola PST (6.7_GENERAL)
    - Go to File > Open > pFlex
    - Browse to directory containing *.hs files, select XPBlue.hs and press the "Open" button.
    - A dialog entitled "pFLEX" will open. Just hit the "Run" button.

(PST will suspend your phone, and the flex will be added.)

    4. Success message will display. Close PST.

    5. Open Bezol's P2KTools v0.6.3.0:
    - Change to P2K Mode (if necessary)
    - Connect (press the "Connect" button.)
    - Optional: Press the "Refresh" button (left side, below) to view phone's directory tree.
    - Using the "Use upload path" field at the lower left, type "/a/mobile/skins/XPBlue/"

[under list item 5, the path /a/mobile/skins/XPBlue should have a slash at the end:

    /a/mobile/skins/XPBlue/
mod edit: post edited as per request

    - Press "Upload" button (left, middle)
    - (Browse dialog opens.) Go to your Windows XP Mobile Blue v4.0 "skins" folder and rename (if necessary) your skin files to:

    XPBlue1.dat
    XPBlue2.dat
    XPBlue.dat
    XPBlue.ski

When renaming is complete, select all skins files in directory and press the "Open" button.

    - P2KTools will automatically create
the "XPBlue" folder under your phone's "/a/mobile/skins" directory and upload the skin files (all with file attribute 07000000; world readable/writeable)

    6. (Optional) Bring your phone out of suspend mode, re-connect to P2KTools, and refresh the directory tree to verify that the XPBlue skin directory now exists and that the skin files (*.dat, .ski) exist within.

    7. Bring your phone out of suspend mode (if necessary), go to Settings > Personalize > Skin

...and select XPBlue for your skin.

See the readme.txt included with your Windows XP Mobile Blue ZIP to understand how to upload the wallpaper, theme, custom startup/shutdown graphics and sounds, etc.
    ---

Use this same process to add other skins to your phone.

Not working on v551 :-(. Tried the black.hs flex, said it worked in pst but I dont see any black dir. I also tried "use upload path" option to try and create it and that also didnt work.
