    Virgin Mobile Canada SMS?

    I know the U.S. Virgin provider uses ##########@vmobl.com for SMS, but how about for Canadian customers? Also, can someone provide a link to the Virgin Canada text messaging site, if it exists?

    as of yet, i dont see any place on there site to send instant messages.

    SMS works from phone -to- phone, but I havent heard about any way of sending messages from an external source, ie: internet, to a VM Canada customer yet, other than the e-mail to SMS gateway which I havent tried yet.

    I havent found one like that for Virgin yet, the one you linked sends to fido subscribers.

    Yeah, I was just using that as an example. I don't think Virgin has one set up.

    Solution:

    http://www.txt.bellmobility.ca

    Since VM is a Bell Mobility MVNO they use the same DIDs so if Bell's SMS system checks if its a valid Bell Mobility exchange you are sending a message to it would come up as affirmative.

    I just tested it and it works.

    I always wondered if that would work or not, but was too lazy to test it out. Thanks for confirming that it works!

    So this is at least the third Bell "feature" that VM users can use (plus changing the number of rings before voicemail picks up and roamer access numbers). Post more if you got 'em.

    Is this still working ?

    I just tried it and got the error "Sorry! Your message cannot be sent to the mobile number. Please check the mobile number and try again"
