I wonder how long it will take them to build out there new ground in Louisiana. Half the state is a lot to do. It shows "CW - PCS Broadband" and I would take that they can use voice in that band. My guess is that a lot of the 225 towers for 2006 will go to Louisiana or they might wait to to build out this area. Anybody have some input on this. What will they do with the College Station license.

I know that this is an old thread, but I just wanted to point out that this license was partitioned, and Cellular South only has the Hattiesburg and Laurel BTA's (and Gulfport-Biloxi, but that is under a different call sign). The rest of the PCS-B-block license (including Louisiana) is owned by Verizon http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...sp?licKey=8911

Cellular South has 20MHz of the B-block for the Hattiesburg, MS and Laurel, MS BTA's:
    http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...licKey=1962674
    http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...p?licKey=11207

Cingular has the remaining 10MHz of the B-block in Hattiesburg/Laurel:
    http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...licKey=2383468

And just for the sake of completeness, this is the 10MHz of the B-Block that Cellular South has on the MS Gulf Coast (Verizon has the other 20MHz):

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Do you know what is the deal with Bryan-College Station, TX.

Nope, can't help with that one...although if you look through the the history of the license, Cell South did meet the 5-year buildout requirements. Maybe we can find a Texas Aggie with a CDMA phone to dial *22807 and see if the call goes to Cell South customer service?

    EDIT--------------------------------------------------------------------

Scratch my above comments...Cellular South used the Bryan-College Station license to deploy an Airspan "Wireless DSL" system:

    Anybody familiar with Airspan?

This looks to be the company offering the service. The question is does Cellular South own them?
