Hi everybody, my phone is having a wierd error message every time I turn it on it says Please Use Genuine Battery -power Off- and then it counts down from 11 and turns off when it gets to 0.
And when I put it on the charger it just cycles through that error message, turning off, restarting, and the error again.
my phone won't work at all.
Anyone know what to do so I get the phone working again?
I have a Verizon LG VX5200 phone by the way.
Thanks in advance =]

do you have a genuine Lg battery in your phone? or do you have an aftermarket in there?
i'm wondering if it has some kind of chip (kinda like how some printers can recognize if you've put aftermarket ink and refuse to print with that) that prevents you from using aftermarket bats.

Sounds like you need a new battery.. This happened to my phone too.. I didn't put the little rubber blocker on the bottom connector of my phone.. and when I put it in my pocket, a dime got stuck in the bottom bridging the connections.. Needless to say it fried my battery and it gave me the same error message as you are getting.
