Getting A New AT&T SIM Card

I want to get a new SIM card from AT&T.

I am currently a post-paid customer.

What will they need from me, if I stop in at a brick & mortar store?

I assume the telephone number and a picture ID.

Will I have to bring in the device itself and/or the "problem" SIM card?

Also, does it matter if I stop in at a corporate store vs. a franchise store for this?
You will have to confirm your account passcode before they can even look at your account, so have that available. Out of curiosity, what is the reason you need a new SIM card? Have you spoken with customer service either online or on the phone and did they suggest a new SIM card?
It might be the past thing for me to try. I have a 5G device that gets 5G with a different SIM card. I am in a 5G area and the plan states that it is a 5G plan. So, there is no guarantee that it will fix the problem, but it might be worth a try.
