I see in the specs that Huawei Honor phones do not cover LTE bands 12 or 17 or band 2 which I get in my area. I'm don't know what not getting band12 or 17 would affect if you are on T-Mobile or AT&T. Do LTE bands just affect data or would lack of LTE bands also result in dropped calls and problems with texting?

I am using Honor 6X and really enjoying especially the camera of this phone. I loved it

New to Huawei having picked up the Honor 7X. Don't feel qualified to write a review coming from a 6 1/2 year old LG L35G with android 2.3.6! :) That said I'm blown away at the speed, screen size, and overall features. Really like the fact that Huawei has committed to supporting software for 2 years which for the 7X includes an update to Oreo and EMUI 8.0 PLUS facial recognition.

Still wish phones had user replaceable batteries. Would have possibly considered the LG V20 if there were other than just refurbs available plus unlocked have zilch OS and security upgrades. All that said I'm still pleased and satisfied with the 7X. Still adjusting to the size and developing out and about carrying strategies. :)
