This is not a new topic and we have heard it for months if not years.

Viruses / worms like the SymbOS.Commwarrior.A and SymbOS.Commwarrior.B have been around for quite some time now. And, most of us have anti-virus software updated in the computers. However, they are still spreading in the wild in several different ways... It attempts to spread using MMS and Bluetooth as a randomly named .sis file. If it is the first hour of the 14th of any month, the threat resets the device.

So I urge you to SCAN for any virus BEFORE installing any .sis file to your Nokia series 60 phone - even if you have got it here from our fellow member or referral! HoFo is a community of trust in most cases. But sometimes, some innocent mistakes or crooks can manage to disrupt the harmony.

It is just common sense. We will never say too much to protect ourselves from harms.

For more information and removal tool, please check with your anti-virus software vendors or trusted source like Symantec Security Response.
